Key Man United attackers Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are set to miss the FA Cup clash against Chelsea on Monday, report MEN.
They are expected to return only for the Liverpool game in the Premier League on 24 February – that is, if they pass the match fitness test.
The attacking duo was forced off the pitch in the Tuesday’s game against Paris Saint-Germain.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer commented after the fixture: ”Jesse and Anthony give us something, let’s hope they’re not too serious. They’re muscle injuries, so we’ll just have to wait a couple of days.”
Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez is another injury doubt for United and might be missing on Monday against Chelsea as well.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have no injury worries and all the first team players are eligible for the game on Monday.
Moreover, the Blues were able to rest some of their key starters on Thursday against Malmo, with Hazard and Kante both playing less than 45 min of football.
