Victor Osimhen will join Chelsea this summer – See Why
As per reports, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is likely to join Chelsea this summer. Arsenal and Manchester United have also joined the race for the forward.
Victor is on loan to Turkish side Galatasaray. He has been previously linked with plenty of the Premier League sides. However, due to his huge asking price the move could not take place.
The Nigeria international had some issues with the Napoli board last year. After the signing of Romelu Lukaku, the Italian side weren’t happy with Victor’s stance. As a result, he was sent on loan to Turkey in June last year.
Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain were keeping tabs on the player last summer. Although, both sides couldn’t make the loan move happen at that time. So, on a stop-gap option, the striker went to the Turkish Super Lig.
He has been great for the Lions this campaign. He has managed to score 28 goals and also has five assists in his 32 games. The Turkey outfit will be willing to sign him on a permanent basis. But, the player is probably looking for another chapter in his career.
The Blues will face competition to sign Victor
The west London club are currently leading the race to land the attacker. But, Arsenal and Manchester United also look firm on the pursuit.
Although, as per David Ornstein (The Athletic), there are rumours of him eventually going to Saudi Arabia this summer. The Premier League clubs are aware of that fact.
The Nigerian forward also had the chance to join Al Ahly last year. The Saudi Pro League side approached him and Ivan Toney. But, the asking price of the Napoli striker was too high. Ultimately, Ivan Toney joined the Saudi outfit last year.
