Eden Hazard is the dictionary definition of a world-class player. The World Cup provides an opportunity for the best to allow their talent to shine through, and Eden did against Panama on Monday afternoon.
Belgium, whose talent-packed squad is considered one of the favourites to win the competition, endured a difficult first-half against minnows Panama. However, after a superb strike from Chelsea target Dries Mertens, the game opened up and Roberto Martinez’s men took full advantage.
The Red Devil’s failures in the first-half of their World Cup opener were not a fair reflection of how well their captain was performing in attack. Hazard created chance after chance for his teammates, but they couldn’t find their way into the back of the Panamanian net.

Just have a look at the below video. Hazard creates a staggering FOUR chances in the space of just one-minute. When you have a player who possesses this sort of quality in your attack, you’re always likely to score eventually.
