Chelsea finished first in the Europa League Group L and they are now a ‘seeded’ team.
Seeded teams could not face any other seeded opponent in the round of 32.
Clubs that were placed third in the Champions League group stage are also seeded.

The Europa League draw ceremony will take place on Monday, December 17.
Yesterday Chelsea finished the last game of the Europa League group stage. The Blues finished with a near-perfect record, losing only two points while competing with PAOK, BATE and MOL Vidi.
Now Chelsea proceeds to the playoff stage of the competition, to be played starting in the spring of 2019. As one of the seeded teams, Blues will avoid other group winners during the draw.
Teams that finished third in the Champions League (including Sarri’s former side Napoli) are seeded as well, which means that they could not be drawn against us for the Round of 32 of Europa League.

Chelsea will also avoid the team that finished second in their group (BATE) and also any team from the same country (Arsenal).
Here is the list of all the eligible opponents for Chelsea in the round of 32:
Celtic, Club Brugge, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, FC Krasnodar, Lazio, Malmo, Olympiakos, Rapid Vienna, Rennes, Shakhtar Donetsk, Slavia Prague, Sporting CP, Viktoria Plzeň, Villarreal and FC Zurich.
The draw will take place on Monday, December 17.
