Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata is confident Chelsea FC can score 20 goals a season under Maurizio Sarri, according to Danny Murphy.
The Blues finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League place.
Chelsea FC have turned to former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri as Antonio Conte’s replacement following a controversial second season under the Italian coach.
Sarri wasted no time leaving his mark on the west London side following the signings of Napoli star Jorginho, Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic, veteran England international Rob Green and Athletic Bilbao shot stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Chelsea FC were 3-0 winners against Huddersfield Town in their season opener at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Pedro Rodriguez.
The Blues were 3-2 winners against bitter rivals Arsenal in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening thanks to goals from Morata, Pedro and Marcos Alonso.
Former Liverpool FC star Murphy believes Hazard, Giroud and Morata could fill their boots under Sarri’s management.
“Sarri is a manager who has a huge reputation for bringing goals and I can see that following him to Chelsea,” Murphy told bWIN.
“I think [Alvaro] Morata and [Olivier] Giroud have the potential to score 20 Premier League goals this season if they both play regularly. I look at [Eden] Hazard and how he played at the World Cup and I think he also has the potential to score 20 Premier League goals in a season.”
Chelsea FC will make the long trip to Newcastle United on Saturday evening when the Blues will take on former manager Rafael Benitez and his Magpies side at St James’ Park.
