Blues in shock transfer for world’s best player, Tuchel told to bring £135m powerhouse to Chelsea, as Tuchel opens up and makes big Pulisic claim

Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in bringing in Argentina international Lionel Messi from Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona as soon as they can.

The future of the 33-year-old forward with the Blaugrana over the last summer was up in the air and it is yet to change as he seems unhappy at Camp Nou. It won’t be a thing of surprise to see Lionel Messi leave Barcelona in the coming summer.

Chelsea are closely monitoring Lionel Messi’s situation at Barcelona and will make a bid for him as soon as it is confirmed that he will be leaving.

It would be recalled that Lionel Messi had in August earlier last year, sent a message via fax to Barcelona, informing the club of his decision to move on, after ending last season in the most unfashionable way with an 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The club did all in their power to convince the six-time Ballon d’Or winner, insisting he stays for more years, and it is now confirmed that any prospective team interested in signing Lionel Messi would pay the full £630m buyout fee.

Manchester City and French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain have all indicated interest in signing Lionel Messi before he made a u-turn and decided to remain at Camp Nou but that has not made him happy yet as he could still leave the club any moment from now.

The fact that Lionel Messi has not been at his usual best this season speaks volume of what should be expected and the Blues team are making moves to take advantage of the situation.

The Blues owner, Roman Abramovich has given the hint that he would spend more on the club as he is convinced about the new setup. Bringing in Lionel Messi would be a great deal for him. Lionel Messi has been at Barcelona since he was 14-year-old, helping to win 10 league titles and four Champions Leagues, scooping a record six Ballons d’Or for his personal contributions along the way.

There is no doubt about what he can add to the Blues’ team if they succeed to bring him as Lionel Messi is still unhappy at Barcelona.

Tuchel urged to complete five-year deal and bring £135 million machine to Chelsea

Paul Merson has told Chelsea they need to beat Manchester City to the signature of Erling Haaland in order to win back that Premier League title

The Chelsea hierarchy are already planning for next season and beyond and it is thought they could make a concerted pursuit to sign Haaland from Dortmund, as the 20-year-old Norwegian striker, who has 22 goals and six assists in 22 games this season, is available for around £135m in the summer.

Chelsea want an elite-level striker to lead their attack and see Haaland as the ideal and complete frontman to do so, but will surely face paying £100m or more to sign him this year.

And amid the speculation, Merson says he believes it is the Stamford Bridge outfit who most need a player of Haaland’s calibre, He wrote for the Daily Star: “Of all the teams who are in for Erling Haaland, Chelsea are the ones who need him most.

“They have always been successful with someone who has a presence up front and Haaland has that. He’s going to score bundles wherever he goes. “And if you buy him this summer, you still have the prospect of being able to sell him for a profit later down the line because of his age.

“I’m not sure he’s such a good fit for Manchester City, where he probably wouldn’t play as much. “But for whoever gets him, it will be worth it. He puts up numbers and he keeps on doing it. Whoever signs him will have a chance of winning the league.”

We have said it before and we will say it again, Haaland is the type of statement signing that many clubs in the Premier League would fear, he really is that good of a player.

So if the Blues could get a transfer deal done, it would make them serious contenders for that Premier League title next season.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel says that Christian Pulisic ‘deserves’ to start for the Blues.

Pulisic is regarded as one of the most talented players in world football and was supposed to be the player that would succeed Eden Hazard and become the clubs next big superstar.

But he has struggled this season and Pulisic has started just one game since Tuchel took charge at Chelsea: a 1-0 win over Barnsley in the FA Cup, which is causing many to doubt that he is part of the clubs long-term plans.

But Tuchel, who has a relationship with Pulisic dating back to the pair’s time at Borussia Dortmund, says there is no reason to be concerned with the winger’s lack of recent playing time.

“Today, the first change was already made in the first half from injury and Christian was a very tight decision if he starts again after the cup game, or if he comes on from the bench,” Tuchel said.

“We decided for another XI to start. Unfortunately, we only had three changes which makes it very difficult to give time to the players, to let everybody play, and to have an impact with the changes of fresh legs. That makes it difficult and the third change we didn’t want to use too early.

“During the match, we did what we normally do which is to only change to win the match. He deserves to start, or to come in but I could only use three guys. I hope he keeps on going and he will make an important impact for us in the future.”

Pulisic is a man with bags of potential and should be starting, so it will be interesting to see if he gets more game time
