After Manchester city ban Player set to join Chelsea

It was confirmed on Thursday that Blues signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax to Stamford Bridge in a deal costing the London club nearly £37m.

However, Chelsea have received a huge boost in the race for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho following Manchester City’s ban from European football for the next two seasons.

Manchester City were in the race to sign Sancho this summer but with Pep Guardiola’s team now banned from playing Champions League football, Sancho won’t be willing to move to the Etihad as he wants Champions League football.

Sancho is set to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season and it is now a battle between Chelsea and Manchester United for his signature.

Sancho has scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists in just 20 Bundesliga appearances this season.

Premier League rivals Blues, Red Devils, Liverpool and Man City have all been linked with summer moves for him, who has scored 18 goals and made 15 assists in 43 games this campaign.

Frank Lampard intends to bring at least three more footballers to the Stamford Bridge this summer, but it is claimed Blues are unwilling to break the bank on a marquee signing.
