Chelsea to make big Sancho move after Dortmund make bigger transfer decision

Chelsea are set to rival Manchester United in the transfer pursuit for Jadon Sancho, reports say.

The forward was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer, but United refused to meet Dortmund’s £108million price-tag, and in the end, Sancho remained in Germany where he has managed eight goals in 25 appearances this season.

New boss Thomas Tuchel is very happy with the current squad that he has at the Bridge, but wants to add his very own stamp on the side, and add a few players that will improve that defence, and will also give him something extra in attack.

Hakim Ziyech has been brilliant this season for the club, but has been too injury prone to make the impact that many would have liked, While Kai Havertz has struggled to adapt to the Premier League, Christian Pulisic is not having the best of seasons and Callum Hudson-Odoi is far from being the finished article just yet.

And amid the claims that we are interested in Sancho, SPORT1 also claim Dortmund have accepted they will finally lose Sancho in the next window, likely to a Premier League side.

And it also claimed the Bundesliga club will let him leave if they receive an offer in the region of £88m.

Look, it will be very interesting to see just how much money Tuchel will be able to spend in the coming transfer window, as Lampard was able to splash £250 million, which cost him his job at the club.

We would love to see Sancho at the club, but do we really need him?
