Christian Pulisic speaks on Chelsea’s interest in Sancho and Zaha

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has been in and out of the Chelsea team since the start of the season, and it seems that the 21-year-old has lost slightly lost favour under Blues boss Frank Lampard in recent games.

Christian Pulisic was the first to be hauled off by Frank Lampard against Brighton on New Year’s Day, and before the start of the January transfer window, the club has been linked with big money moves for Jadon Sancho and Wilfried Zaha. Despite the rumours, Pulisic has admitted that he’s ready to face competition.

“Yeah I mean it is normal, teams look to improve their team and and if players do come in there is competition, that is how it goes,” he said after the 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.

“So we’ll be ready for that and hopefully we’ll have players that come in and want to help us.”

Olivier Giroud has since lost his place in the Chelsea team and rumours claim he could be used as a potential makeweight in a move for Zaha. But Chelsea boss Frank Lampard refused to be drawn into such conversations.

“I wouldn’t talk about Zaha and the idea of that deal is something I’ve never even considered,” said Lampard.
