CONFIRMED: Chelsea remove Frank Lampard banner out of Stamford Bridge. See why

According to reports, Chelsea have removed the ‘In Frank We Trust’ banner from Stamford Bridge.

This was done out of respect for new Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, who got his first victory as Chelsea boss in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Burnley.

The banner was taken down ahead of the game against Burnley after it was left in Tuchel’s first game in charge against Wolves.

Blues supporter group We Are The Shed took credit for the decision on Twitter after the 0-0 draw with Wolves at the Bridge.

They tweeted: “We asked for the banner to stay in place for today’s game in honour of Lampard and what he achieved with us.

“We have also asked for it to be removed after tonight out of respect to Tuchel and his team. #ThankYouSuperFrank.”

The banner made its Stamford Bridge debut in the 3-1 FA Cup victory over Luton Town, Lampard’s last game in charge of Chelsea.
