Five Chelsea players to miss FA Cup game against Liverpool

Five Chelsea players could miss Tuesday’s FA Cup game against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is set to miss the game against Liverpool as he continues to struggle with an ankle injury he picked up in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard revealed after the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Saturday that Abraham has travelled to Spain for further tests.

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been out injured since the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. The Frenchman suffered an abductor injury and is not expected to return until at least the game against Everton, although it’s more likely he will return for the game against Aston Villa.

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic is expected to miss the FA Cup game against Liverpool. He has been sidelined for the past two months and last played for the Blues on New Year day.

Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel is also expected to miss the game against Liverpool. The Dutchman still working his way back after an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also expected to miss the game against Liverpool after Lampard confirmed he will play with the reserves on Monday to boost his match fitness. Loftus-Cheek only recently returned from an injury that has kept him out all season.
