Chelsea have been reportedly won the race to sign Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
However, Magalhaes impressed against Frank Lampards side during the group stages of this season’s Champions League.
The 22-year-old, who is considered as Next Virgil van Dijk, is valued at around £30million by the Ligue 1 club.
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard has struggled to settle on a regular combination at the centre of his defence. And according to Eurosport a deal for Gabriel is almost complete.
Gabriel Magalhaes has made 34 appearances for Ligue 1 side and has scored once. The players extended his dea in February and the contract will keep him at the club until 2023.
