Huge boost for Chelsea as coach confirms £90m deal could be completed by August

Chelsea are highly active in their transfer market this summer, as they aim for a squad overhaul ahead of next season.

The Blues made their first summer signing of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax in early February and has also competed a deal for Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. Frank Lampard’s side are also thought to be interested in adding Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Haverts.

However, the Blues have received a huge boost in Kai Haverts pursuit after Bayer Leverkusen’s coach Peter Bosz admitted a deal could be completed by August.

According to The Sun, Bayer Leverkusen’s coach Peter Bosz has admitted acknowledged that a deal for Kai Haverts could be completed by August this summer.

Bayer Leverkusen are currently demanding a fee of around £90million for the 21-year old attacker, but should Bayer Leverkusen fails to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League, their asking price would drop down to £70million. And coach Bosz is hoping no club meet Leverkusen’s £90million demands before their last 16 tie with Rangers.

He said; “I don’t have any feeling that Saturday’s game will be his last for the club, he still has a contract with the club and I guess that he will be with us next season.

“That include the German Cup final next month and the next Europa League match against Rangers in August. “Of Course, that’s all dependent on if nothing happened before then.
