‘Never seen someone like him’ — 31goals in 29games Chelsea top target gets incredible rating
At age 20, Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is already being rated as one of the best strikers in the world, and has scored 20 Champions League goals in his career already — the quickest of any player in history.
With 31 goals in 29 games this season in all competitions, Haaland is in top form this season and is attracting massive interests from many of Europe’s giants.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc, has admitted that he hasn’t seen anything like Haaland, despite that the club has had Robert Lewandowski in the past. Zorc is also keen to keep Haaland for as long as possible, even though he has a release clause that can be triggered in the summer of 2022.
“I have never seen someone like him. We can search Europe-wide,” Michael Zorc told German media outlet Welt am Sonntag about Erling Haaland.
“If he ever left us somewhere, there would only be a handful of clubs, but we’ll try to keep him as long as possible for sporting reasons.
“We don’t want to play in the Europa League on Thursdays. We want to give our calling card in the Champions League.”
