REPORTS: Pep Guardiola allegedly angered by Chelsea coach after Man City defeat

City were defeated yesterday 2-0 by the Blues
After the game, Guardiola was spotted by the cameras involved in the heated exchange with Chelsea coach Paolo Bertelli

Earlier in the season fitness coach Marco Ianni was fined after provoking Jose Mourinho.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola appeared angry with a Chelsea coach Paolo Bertelli after yesterday’s Premier League game where the Blues took the better of Citizens in a 2-0 victory.

The City boss was filmed by BT Sport approaching each and every member of the home team’s backroom staff to shake their hands after the game has ended.

It is suggested by Mirror that his exchanges were not entirely friendly and Guardiola appeared as somewhat of a ‘sore loser’.

The outlet describes the incident as follows:

“The brief exchange involved Guardiola holding his hand out for Paolo Bertelli to shake, which he eventually did. But the pair shared a few words in the build-up, and the Manchester City boss reacted by pulling his hand away from the coach so that he couldn’t shake it.”

This is not the first time this season that the Chelsea coaches get involved in conflicts with the opposing teams’ bosses. Earlier this season, Blues fitness coach Marco Ianni has been warned by FA after he celebrated provocatively right in front of Jose Mourinho during Chelsea vs Man United 2-2 draw.
