Supercomputer rates Chelsea’s chances of winning Champions League following Atletico Madrid victory

Chelsea progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after beating Spanish league leaders Atletico Madrid 3-0 on aggregate.

Following Chelsea’s victory over Atletico Madrid, the supercomputer by FiveThirtyEight have now rated Chelsea’s chances of winning the Champions League.

The Blues have been given a 55 percent chance of progressing to the semi-final of the Champions League, 28 percent of chance of progressing to the finals and 13 percent chance of winning the Champions League.

Despite never winning the Champions League, Premier League rivals Manchester City have been made favourites to win the Champions League with a 37 percent chance.

Defending champions Bayern Munich are second favourites to win the Champions League with 17percent chance while Chelsea are third favourites to win the Champions League.

The Champions League quarter-final draw takes place on Friday after the last-16 ties were completed this week.
