Thomas Tuchel has addresses the rumours suggesting that Christian Pulisic wants to leave Chelsea.

Pulisic is one of the most highly-rated wingers in world football, and when he sealed that move to the Bridge just last season, there was big excitement about what he could bring to the club.

But since his move to the Premier League, he has struggled with form, injuries and the inability to get into that first team under Tuchel, leading to reports in the media that he was ready to quit the club.

WHAT IS THE LATEST? WHAT HAS TUCHLE SAID?

When asked if he will stand in Pulisic’s way if he asks to leave Chelsea, Tuchel replied: ‘A lot of ‘ifs’ in your question. If he starts tomorrow, if he does brilliantly, if he starts again against Atletico, and if he scores two goals… maybe he’s the captain next year of our squad [laughs].

‘I know what you mean but this is too far ahead. We have so many games and he is in my plans.

‘He is an important player, and he has the potential to be decisive for us from the bench and as a beginner, is it necessary he can improve it? Yes. And this is my job. And his job is to be ready like everybody else.

‘And when it comes the moment you have to be ready, this is what you sign up for at a club like Chelsea. There’s no difference between Christian and anybody else.’

Asked how Pulisic has reacted to being asked to be patient for his chance at Chelsea, Tuchel replied: ‘I hope so. When you sign and play for Chelsea this is the part of the job description as a player to be patient and impatient at the same time. ‘Impatient because all of my players are competitors all of them wants to play every single minute and this is what they all show every day, the hunger and desire and this is what Christian shows.

‘At the same time when you are not selected from the coach you have to also be patient, to not lose confidence, to keep on going and to be ready any time because it can happen any time. ‘In the beginning he was a bit unlucky because we know how much of an impact he can have when he comes from the bench and we use this power and strength from him.

‘When it was possible for him to start around Sheffield [United] and Barnsley game he was one game unavailable, the other game came a bit too soon in the cup game against Barnsley, it was a difficult game for him, so it was not too easy. ‘In the end it’s the quality of the players that shines on the pitch if you turn it around it’s the duty of the players to show up and to really earn that they play and this is what Christian does.

‘So it can happen any minute in any game and at some point it’s just this I have nothing to complain, I feel in the last days [it’s been] very positive and doing the best out of his situation and this is what he can do.’

CHELSEA icon Joe Cole has claimed Thomas Tuchel MUST sign Erling Haaland this summer to add a much-needed ‘sparkle of magic’.

Natural strikers Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud have all struggled to find the net with any regularity this season, and it has cost Chelsea the chance to try and regain that Premier League title this season.

It has also led to alot of speculation in the media that Tuchel would like the money from the board to go out and try to acquire the services of Haaland, who is now easily regarded as one of the most deadly strikers on the planet.

His goal-scoring record over at Dortmund is very impressive, while his physical power would be perfect for the Premier League, according to many reports, with that £100 million asking price a fee that many would actually pay.

Stamford Bridge icon Cole has revealed Tuchel can fix his problems this summer with a move for magical Borussia Dortmund ace Haaland, AS Even before Saturday’s Elland Road stalemate, Cole told BT Sport: “They need one player for me, Haaland. He’s on the wish-list.

“He’s a No9. There’s so much in this squad, there’s quality in all areas, such a strong squad.

“You just need that one sparkle of magic, that No9, that focal point…

“It will change this club getting back to the glory days of challenging for the title regularly.”

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has admitted he is unsure what the future holds for club captain Sergio Ramos, with the likes of Chelsea interested in a potential deal.

There is no doubt that Ramos has been one of the very best central defenders for well over 10 years now, and looked like that he was going to retire at the Spanish giants.

However, that may not be the case after news broke that he has not agreed a new contract at the club, which means that he may have to leave the club at the end of the season with a move to the Premier League possibly on the agenda.

Speaking on Thursday, Ramos admitted there have been no new developments on the contract front, and added that he wants to play another five years.

“I wish I could say something, but everything remains the same,” Ramos said of his contract situation.

“I can play five more years at the highest level. If injuries are not too bad, my mentality will help me.”

Speaking at a press conference, Zidane said: “I want to be honest and I have to say I don’t know what’s going to happen with him.

“We want him to stay here. He’s always going to be an important player and I want him to remain here, that’s what I’ll say as a coach.

“Will Ramos play until he’s 40? That is what Sergio has said. He is a special player. His intention is already good because he wants to continue playing.

“Every year he will know if he is in good shape and, if he is like he is now, of course he can play until he is 40, if he wants.”

Rio Ferdinand has told Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel that he needs to sign an elite No9.

The Blues spent some massive amounts of money in last summer’s transfer window improving that attack of theres, with Timo Werner the signing that was supposed to be the leading striker.

However, the German has not made the impact that many had hoped when he signed, as Werner has only managed to score five Premier League goals in 28-appearances, a contract from last season when he netted an impressive 28 in the Gundesliga.

And Ferdinand has told Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel that he needs to sign an elite No9, but stopped short of name-dropping Haaland, who is also a target for his old club, Manchester United.

Ferdinand said ON THE SUN: “I think they’ll have to add still, they need to add in areas to do that.

“The No9 area maybe? Someone who is going to be potent and score a lot of goals.

“They’ve come in here not scoring as many goals as in the previous regime.

“I think that will have to change in time but they’ve only conceded two goals.

“It’s a big difference but they do need to maybe invest. It’s a fantastic squad.”

If Roman Abramovic feels that Tuchel is the man that will lead the club back to that Premier League title, then he will back the German in the transfer window, and if Haaland is the man that the club want, they have the money to get a deal all wrapped up.

But the window is a few months away, lets see how the season plays out first.
