Chelsea target Gareth Bale admits he is “not playing happy” at the start of the 2019/20 season, following a turbulent transfer window.

Bale is one of the biggest name sin world football right now and was the main reason why Real Madrid managed to win their third successive Champions league title in a row just a couple of seasons ago.

However, he has failed to win fans over since his move from Tottenham and boss Zinedine Zidane was prepared to cash in on the Welshman during the summer, with Chelsea constantly linked with a move for the winger.

However, the fact that Bale would cost to much and he didn’t want to leave the Bernabeu, and the fact Chelsea couldn’t buy anyone, meant that he had to stay put this season, and surprisingly he has won his place back inside the Madrid side.

But despite his game time, Bale has admitted that he is not playing Happily in Madrid, telling Sky Sports: “I understand I was made more of a scapegoat than most, I take it with a pinch of salt even though maybe it’s not all fully fair. Towards the end of last season was difficult, there is no denying that, not just for me but for the team.

“I wouldn’t say I’m playing happy but I’m playing, when I am playing I am professional and I am always giving all I can, whether that be for club or country.

“I’m sure there’ll be plenty more turbulence, to be honest. I suppose it is something you will have to speak to Real Madrid about and it’s between me and them, and we will have to come to some sort of conclusion.”

Bale is a superstar in the game and Madrid are foolish to force him out the door, but if the right offer arrives during next summer’s window, could he end up back in the Premier League?

Chelsea are in need of a superstar like Bale and if there is a chance to land him on a bargain basis, then they should and could make the offer to sign him up.
