£100M midfielder OFFICIALLY speaks out about talk that he could join Chelsea!
According to reports, Declan Rice, a target for Chelsea, is tired of the “annoying” transfer rumors that put him on the market outside of West Ham.
However, during his time with the Hammers, Rice has become one of the top holding midfielders in the Premier League. He also has proven to be a true leader both on and off the field.
All the major clubs, especially Chelsea, have taken notice of his West Ham performances. Many have predicted that he will eventually leave the club, but this summer he has decided to stay because he has no desire to do so, especially during a world cup year.
Over the course of the upcoming seasons, there has been a lot of conjecture about where he would really end up, but Rice has now publicly confessed that the speculation is bothering him.
In an interview with Sky Sports the Hammers star said: “Every time I put on the shirt I go out there and give it 100 per cent and whatever happens off the pitch takes care of itself.
“I can’t control that – what I can control is going out there and trying to be the best player.
“It’s annoying because of the numbers that get attached to your name.
“You can’t control that at all, but there’s stuff sometimes that you see and you read that you don’t want to hear, because it’s not really true in a way.
“For the last couple of seasons that’s what I’ve done and that’s the faith the manager has put in me, so all that speculation stuff, that’s what comes with playing good, I suppose.”
