11am: (Image): Another Chelsea midfielder officially leaves Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal
Chelsea have confirmed the permanent departure of another young rising star.
After refusing to sign a new extended contract with Chelsea, midfielder Lewis Bate has joined Leeds United on a permanent deal.
The 18-year old has never played a senior match for Chelsea or for anyone in fact, but he is a highly rated young player with a massive future.
He clearly just didn’t see a fast route into the Chelsea first-team and decided on a different route.
