Just in: Chelsea’s secret weapon revealed as Blues close to seal Haaland’s deal

The Blues continue there pursuit to sign Haaland ahead of next season.

However, reports clams Chelsea have a secret weapon in their pursuit to sign Erling Haaland this summer.

The Blues former player turned loan coach, Tore Andre Flo, has been promoting his fellow countryman Erling Haaland to Chelsea, according to a report from Diario AS today.

Flo was also a striker for Chelsea and had a very successful career at the club, and in 2012 he was bought back in as a loan technical coach and works daily at Cobham.

He has been speaking publicly about Haaland and how he believes the striker, just like him, will have no problems adapting to Premier League football and he will be a success here.

He obviously doesn’t mention any of the speculation surrounding Haaland’s links with Chelsea, and AS reiterate that they believe Chelsea ARE readying an offer for him, but it is very interesting to hear a current Chelsea coach speak these words about Haaland right now with all the rumours and speculation surrounding him potentially joining the club this summer.

Flo said:

“The culture in England is quite similar for someone who comes from Norway. It would be pretty easy, or at least it was for me. We all speak the language pretty well already, so there shouldn’t be any problems.”

“Obviously it’s a very tough league, tougher than any other in the world. That’s the biggest challenge for players who come from any corner of the world,” Flo concludes.
