£130k-a-week highly-talented attacker ‘would welcome’ Chelsea move..Will he be a great signing?
Dean Jones, a transfer expert, claims Wilfried Zaha, who is a target for Chelsea, would embrace a move to Stamford Bridge.
However, The Ivory Coast international’s future is uncertain once more this summer after being frequently linked to teams other than Crystal Palace in recent years.
Zaha is mentioned in transfer rumors practically every year, but there is a good probability that it may actually happen this window.
This is due to the fact that the 29-year-old has entered the final year of his £130,000 per week contract and hasn’t demonstrated any indications that he intends to dedicate his future to his childhood club.
Zaha is thus drawing interest from clubs throughout Europe, including Jose Mourinho’s Roma and Chelsea, despite the recent addition of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
Since Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, and Hakim Ziyech’s futures are in doubt, Thomas Tuchel is in serious need of more squad depth, which is why the Blues have been connected with a number of wingers this summer, despite the fact that Sterling is still their lone attacking acquisition.
Jones also believes that Zaha, who has never played in Europe, would be thrilled to join the 2021 Club World Cup champions and compete in the Champions League.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “Chelsea tried to sign him under the previous ownership and Zaha would welcome a move like this.
“I think it would be exciting to see Sterling and him in the same attack, and I think there are ways Tuchel could get that to open up.”
