Raul Jimenez has sent the likes of Chelsea a transfer message about a possible summer move.
After recently becoming the club’s top scorer in Premier League history – netting his 23rd league goal to overtake Steven Fletcher’s 22, interest in a Premier League deal has taken another leap forward, with United hot on the list of possible suitors
Jimenez, 28, has 10 goals and six assists in the Premier League this season for Champions League hopefuls Wolves, and we believe that he could be a good buy for the likes of Chelsea, especially after Frank Lampard failed to sign any strikers during the January transfer window.
He is a very good player who has had a great season, and from what we are hearing, there will be a lot of top clubs trying to sign him in the summer, but despite all the interest, he could do a job at Chelsea, he could be a great partner for Tammy Abraham.
But Jimenez has opened up and poured water on a possible move to United, by claiming that he is more than happy at Wolves: “I have a contract until 2023,” the 28-year-old wrote. “It’s not that we have to qualify for the Champions League in order to stay.
“I’m good [here], happy with Wolves, doing important things – me as well as the whole team. “We’ve been trying our best since the start of last season. We’ve qualified for the Europa League, now we’re fighting for a Champions League spot.
“And it’s the big motivation to keep growing as a player and getting into the Champions League is always a plus that satisfies you and keeps you thinking about big things.”
If Chelsea do actually come calling, it will be interesting to see if he actually turns down a move to one of the biggest clubs in the game
