£31.5m-rated attacker would help take Chelsea’s attack to the next level if signed this summer

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that they spend a significant amount of money on improving their side this summer in order to challenge for the top four spaces once again.

Chelsea fans everywhere will remain in hope that their team can reach the top four places once again, having finished 5th last season meaning they will play in the Europa League next season. Chelsea need to massively improve their transfer business, and our punters think that signing Julian Brandt, who is valued at £31.5 million on Transfer Markt, would be a brilliant way to start their spending spree.

With Chelsea’s attackers proving very hit and miss all season long, Brandt would add a much needed consistent quality to their side in order to improve their chances at a top-four return. This season the German winger has been in inspired form for Bayer Leverkusen, making 39 appearances, scoring 7 goals as well as chipping in with 7 assists, a great return that should go a long way to proving that he is a quality player.

Germany’s midfielder Julian Brandt reacts during the WC 2018 qualification match between Germany and San Marino in the stadium in Nuremberg, southern Germany, on June 10, 2017.

At 22-years-old, Brandt has already shown on the international stage what he can do and will continue to do so this summer with the winger likely to be on the plane to Russia for the World Cup. Chelsea should get a clear picture of what Julian Brandt is all about during the tournament – cutting-edge passing, close control dribbling and also the strong ability to cut in and score.

Brandt will not be an easy player to persuade to come to England but the Blues have to recognize they need to make a big statement like signing the German to inspire their team forwards to glory next season.
