According to reports, Chelsea have been heavily linked with making a move to sign Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
A number of outlets have reported Chelsea’s interest in the Cameroon international, including this latest report from The Daily Mirror that links Tottenham as well as The Blues to a £25 million move for the stopper.
There has been some talk about Frank Lampard wishing to replace current number one goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, but this is unrealistic.
The Spanish international is the clubs record signing, and they are unlikely to be prepared to make a loss on his fee, which they will if they sold him right now.
A number of top Chelsea sources including Matt Law of The Telegraph have mentioned that Lampard could actually look to add competition for Kepa, rather than replace him, and the Onana pursuit looks a lot more like it would be for competition.
He is cheap, and would be up for a fight for the number one spot if it meant landing a move to the Premier League.
