36 goals and 15 assists in 41 games player’s agent travel for transfer talks following interest from Chelsea
Viktor Gyokeres’ outstanding first season at Sporting Lisbon has caught the eye of multiple European teams, including Chelsea.
Premier League rivals Arsenal as well as Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are also interested in signing the impressive 25 year old striker.
Chelsea scouts have been closely monitoring the striker following an impressive season that has seen him score 36 goals and provide 15 assists in 41 games this season.
According to Portuguese media outlet A Bola via Sport Witness, the agent of the Swedish international will travel to Lisbon this weekend to hold talks with Sporting Lisbon.
The report also adds amid interest from Chelsea and other interested clubs, the agent of the Swedish international will have a meeting with the Portuguese club to discuss his client’s future.
Gyökeres’ deal lasts until 2028 and it has a €100m release clause. Sporting’s desire is to retain him, while they are well aware a big money sale could also be carried out in the summer.
The report also adds that there’s a possibility for the two parties to discuss increasing Gyökeres’ salary and the release clause as well.
