56-year-old man could be next Chelsea manager if Pochettino get sacked

Reports have claimed that one manager could now be in line to take the Chelsea job if it becomes available in the near future.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Blues could turn to Massimiliano Allegri if they make the decision to sack current boss Mauricio Pochettino.

While there has been a lot of good talk surrounding Pochettino’s time at Stamford Bridge so far, the place in the league table does not suggest a great deal of progress has been made.

Those who have seen some performances on the pitch, particularly ones against pacesetters Tottenham and Manchester City, will know that last season is merely a scratch on some of the stuff that has been played.

However, the usual talk of a potential managerial change has not disappeared. There have still been claims that Pochettino is under pressure.

The Argentine was forced to watch from the stands last time out, after serving his suspension for picking up three yellow cards already this season.

He will not have been pleased with what he saw. The Blues were soundly beaten by Newcastle, turning in their least impressive display of the season.

As talk has begun to get a little bit louder regarding his future, the usual suspects have seemingly began to emerge as those whose names will be in the hat.

Allegri has been a long-term reported candidate for the job at Stamford Bridge, however the opportunity may reportedly arise after he has refused to commit his future to current club, Juventus.

The owners however should stick true to their word and give Pochettino time to work with his young squad.
