£95million bid as Chelsea prepare second and third signing

Chelsea are reportedly lining up mega £95 million deal to sign Nicolo Barella and Paris-Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani this month, according to the Daily Express.

The Blues are currently occupying fourth position on the Premier League standings and have also qualified for the fourth round of the 2019 English FA Cup.

The report claims Maurizio Sarri is currently not satisfied with the form of Alvaro Morata and Giroud and wants more attacking players during the transfer.

Sarri is keen to bring Uruguayan striker Cavani to Stamford Bridge and also hopes to strike a deal with Cagliari for Barella.

Cavani, 31, has scored a staggering 183 goals in 262 appearances for PSG in the last five years and Sarri believes he is the ideal man to lead the line for Chelsea.

It is also claimed that Chelsea will try to finalise a £45m deal for Italian midfielder Barella before the January transfer window closes.

The Premier League club hope to secure his signature in the next few weeks and loan him back to Cagliari for the remainder of the season, like they did with Christian Pulisic at Borussia Dortmund.
