Chelsea are set to activate their buy back clause in order to re-sign Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo in he summer.
Jeremie Boga is a graduate of Chelsea’s famed academy but he made only a handful of first team appearances before he was sold to the Italian club but the Blues made sure they inserted a buy back clause in the contract.
The winger was highly rated by Chelsea while he was at England and they are considering the option of signing him back after he has made tremendous improvements in Italy.
The Blues are being careful of not making the same mistakes where former players have gone on to become one of the best in the world.
It has however been reported that Sassuolo made contact with the Blues representatives as the Italian club wants Chelsea to waive their Buy back clause but Chelsea made it clear that it is their intention to sign Boga if they fail to Sign their major attacking transfer targets.
Chelsea’s major target is Jadon Sancho but price tag and stiff competition could make Chelsea consider other options and that would be signing Boga for just £15million.
Chelsea have also completed the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax as they look to restructure their squad ahead of next season.
