Lampard ready to offer £300,000-a-week contract and bring Premier League hitman to Chelsea?

There has been some shock reports which have claimed Chelsea are interested in signing Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Chelsea may have one of the most exciting young sides in the Premier League and many people may be excited about the future of the club, but there is a need for Frank Lampard to spend some serious money and land a world class forward.

Tammy Abraham has been decent this season, but he needs back-up next year if Chelsea are to get back inside the top four spots and challenge for that Premier League title, and there has been some big names linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

But now there has been some shock reports on THE SUN WEBSITE which have claimed Chelsea have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to snare Arsenal contract rebel Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang away from the Emirates.

The Red Devils are eyeing up a £50million swoop for the Gabon international as he nears the end of his contract in North London, and after selling Olivier Giroud to the Blues that same month, it has been reported that Chelsea are set to raid Arsenal once again.

According to the reports, the West London outfit are one of a number of teams looking to nab Aubameyang, with Frank Lampard known to want to bring in a new centre-forward.

Look, if Aubameyang stays at the Arsenal, it will be great news for the club as they simply cannot afford to lose the guy, but it would be a massive shock to see him arrive at the likes of United or Chelsea. If United are to sell their star man then they need to make sure that they sell him abroad, otherwise he would cause some serious competition for their top four chances next season. But why not hand him the £300,000-a-week deal that he wants and keep him at the Emirates?
