The Blue were keen on signing Luka Jovic before his transfer to Real Madrid last summer.
However, Chelsea are reportedly still interested in the Serbia international and the chances of landing the 22 year old striker has been boosted by Real Madrid’s latest decision.
According to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid executives are unhappy with Jovic breaking the club’s coronavirus quarantine rules when flying back to Serbia and have put him up for sale.
Real Madrid are reportedly now open to selling Jovic but want to recoup the full £55 million they paid for him.
Jovic joined Real Madrid for £55 million last summer off the back of a blistering two-season loan spell with Bundesliga Frankfurt, where he scored 36 goals in 75 appearances.
