Chelsea have continually been linked with a move for Jadon Sancho this summer, with the Borussia Dortmund frontman likely to be high on Frank Lampard’s transfer wish list
Frank Lampard is expected to be busy in the summer transfer window.

And one of the players that will be high on his transfer wish list is set to be Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho. The teenager is not just a Lampard transfer target, but the player is high atop the supporters’ dream signings too. Sancho burst onto the scene in the Bundesliga last season, with 12 goals and 17 assists.

And he has continued that upwards trend this year, with 14 goals and 16 assists already in just 23 appearances in thge German top flight. However, Sancho is expected to be one of the transfer sagas of the summer as clubs around Europe battle for his signature.

But would Chelsea be better served going for another big name frontman?

The future of Brazilian striker Neymar is one that is regularly up for debate, with Barcelona linked with a move for their former star. However, Chelsea supporters on Reddit have debated who would be the better buy, given both are expected to cost in the region of £138million.

TodorXD went on to say: “He’s a drama queen that plays for money and not the badge. While Sancho even said he was a Chelsea fan as a kid and would probably take the chance to play for Chelsea more serious. So no, i don’t think he would be a better option.”

TehGoombeGAF said: “PSG won’t sell him for that. Dortmund will take 120m for Sancho. Sancho is younger and has massive potential. With Sancho you have 7-8 years potentially more where he will develop and hopefully become world class. Neymar is in his prime now but sufferring a lot of injuries. Sancho all day for me.”

One Reddit user pointed to the commercial value Neymar would bring, while other maintained Sancho would be the better buy before one user said: “Say what you want about Ney, but I would take him in a heartbeat. Only problem is he injury prone and the last thing we need is an expensive signing who can’t stay fit for half season. Premier League defender would eat him alive and display his bones in the National Football Museum.”
