According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are interested in signing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice this summer.
The 21 year old midfielder left Chelsea for West Ham after he was deemed not good enough for the Chelsea academy.
Rice, who is a close friend of Blues midfielder Mason Mount, would not come cheap however with four years left on his deal at West Ham.
With Chelsea now interested in the West Ham midfielder, it seems Chelsea boss Frank Lampard isn’t comfortable with his defensive midfield options.
Chelsea already have Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante and Lampard’s decision to move for Rice comes as a surprise to many.
