According to 90min, Chelsea could be ready to part company with star midfielder N’Golo Kante this summer if the likes of Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain put the right kind of offer on the table for the midfielder.
The Blues star came through the door at Leicester from French outfit Caen as a completely unknown entity in English football five years ago but was an instant hit as N’Golo helped the Foxes to a PL triumph in his debut season.
That earned him a move to Chelsea four years ago and Kante repeated the same feat with the Blues in his first campaign at Stamford Bridge.
Kante has since carved out a massive reputation for himself as one of the best holding midfielders in the world, but at 29, Chelsea are apparently weighing up variants regarding his future.
He still has three years left to run on his existing deal at Stamford Bridge which runs until June 2023 but his advancing years, coupled with his recent struggles with injuries, have reportedly prompted Chelsea to consider offers for the midfielder.
The report adds that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has prepared a three-man French wishlist for the summer that includes Kante and his fellow countrymen Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe.
The Los Blancos are reportedly prepared to step up their pursuit of Kante but they could face still competition from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, who are also expected to go all out if The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is made available by Chelsea.
