West Ham 3 vs 2 Chelsea: Player ratings

0

Chelsea lost to West Ham for the second time this season and thus missed a good chance to go beyond Leicester City in third.

Check out the player ratings below.

Kepa: Poor performance. Didn’t command his area and looked very unsettled in goal. 3/10

Azpilicueta: Played below his quality tonight and struggled against Tomas Soucek when defending from the corner. 4/10

Christensen: couldn’t cope with Michail Antonio and his positioning in defence let the team down. 3/10

Rudiger: A night to forget as he couldn’t handle the pace and strength of Michail Antonio. Was poor in defending West Ham’s second goal and was well beaten by Yarmolenko for the winning goal. 3/10

Alonso: Was slow in possession and didn’t add much when attacking. Should have done better to stop the cross coming in from Jarrod Bowen which led to Antonio tapping in for the second goal. Did not track Yarmolenko for the third goal. 3/10

Kovacic: Has looked a shadow of himself since the season’s restart and didn’t add anything to the team’s attack in the final third. 4/10

Kante: Worked really hard, and will be disappointed to be on the losing side. 5/10

Barkley: Struggled to have an influence on the game and didn’t justify his starting position. 5/10

Willian: Superb penalty and an even better free-kick. Tried his best but it wasn’t enough to get a win for his side. 7.5/10

Pulisic: Looked very lively as he kept on taking the West Ham players. Won the penalty for Chelsea’s opening goal. 7/10

Abraham: Had a really poor game tonight. Didn’t add anything to the team’s attack. 3/10

Substitutes Mount: Came on for Kovacic shortly after the second half but couldn’t do much. 5/10

Loftus-Cheek: Came on for Barkley after the hour mark and had one good moment. Was slow in possession. 5/10 Giroud: Didn’t have an impact on the game.
