According to reports, La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly planning to make an offer for Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
The 27-year-old centre-back has been left out of the Blues last two squads against Barnsley and Liverpool, while he is yet to play a single minute of first-team football for the Frank Lampard’s side this term.
The German defender is allegedly available for transfer ahead of the deadline at the start of October, and a recent report suggested that Ligue 1 defending champions., Paris Saint-Germain were interested in his services, while also keeping tabs on another Chelsea star Bakayoko.
However, according to Goal, Spanish giants are also weighing up a move for the ex-Borussia Dortmund youngster as Ronald Koeman looks to strengthen his back line options this term.
The report suggests that Manchester City’s Eric Garcia is still the No,1 defensive target for the Catalan giants, however, a swoop for Rudiger could occur if the team are unsuccessful in convincing Pep Guardiola’s side to sell.
Rudiger has played 115 games for the West London club since arriving from AS Roma in the summer of 2017.
Thiago Silva’s arrival from PSG on a free transfer has pushed the German further down the pecking order, though, with Fikayo Tomori, Andreas Chrsitensen and Kurt Zouma also ahead of him.
