Fulham boss reveals one big reason why Chelsea beat him
The Fulham team had been hit hard by corona virus recently, with a bulk of the squad recovering on time to face Tottenham last week, and then Chelsea after three days.
Following the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea, Fulham boss Scott Parker has admitted that he didn’t have enough players at his disposal to face Chelsea.
Parker said after the match: “We are light. We didn’t have enough players to make the full quote for the bench. The two boys Bobby and Antonee out. We’ve been under it for the last two weeks, we’ve had a game which we didn’t expect. We’ve had to push players this week in the sense after Tottenham some players had one day of training after being ill for 10 days.
“It was always going to be difficult but this is where we are. We’ll be fine, we’ll do our recoveries, get our markers all done and come with another committed performance on Wednesday.”
A late Mason Mount goal broke the heart of the Fulham team, but they did well enough to hold Chelsea despite being one man down.
