Bayern opens door for Chelsea to sign superstar, Blues interested in £38m powerhouse defender as club CEO announce deal, Tuchel interested in Hakimi
New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in signing Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan at the end of the season
There have been some reports in the media suggesting that we are planning for potential new signings in this coming transfer window, as they seek to improve the side and give Thomas Tuchel some money to spend to make the squad his very own.
Hakimi has enjoyed a fruitful spell at Inter Milan since joining from Real Madrid, But Inter have been hit hard financially by the Covid-19 pandemic and posted a loss of 102million euros for year ending June 30.
And with concerns over their financial viability, the Calciomercato website claim the Moroccan full-back would be open to a move to the Premier League, with reports that we may reignite their interest in the defender.
Now we have a world class manager in charge, the players that he does have at the club will get him the results that he needs, so even though Hakimi could be interested in a move to the premier League, it would be a shock to see him at the club next season.
Chelsea are interested in Dayot Upamecano, according to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge
Upamecano is one of the hottest defenders in the game right now and was constantly linked with a move away from RB during the January transfer window, but with COVID still in the air, a transfer deal for the defender was always going to be unlikely.
However, it is believed that Thomas Tuchel is a massive fan of the defender and will look to try and get him all signed up for that £38 million that he is now going for, after his agent revealed the exact price of his release clause
Rummenigge has now confirmed that Bayern will be in the market for the Frenchman in the summer transfer window as they look to bring in a replacement for exit-bound David Alaba, whose current contract is due to expire at the end of June, but has also revealed that there is strong interest from the Premier League
“In addition to Bayern Munich, there are at least two quite attractive clubs interested,” the Bayern CEO told Sky Germany.
“The fact is that the player is interesting, and the fact is that we will almost certainly lose David Alaba in that position.
“I can’t say if there will be other departures in that position.”
Bayern Munich will not be one of the clubs that make a move for Sergio Ramos, the Germans have told Chelsea
Ramos has been at Madrid for well over a decade and won countless trophies on his way to becoming one of the very best defenders in the game, but his contract troubles at Madrid have now meant that he is back in the headlines.
It is believed that he cannot agree a new contract with Real and that has led to reports that we may be interested in trying to get a transfer deal done, But there has been some rumours in the media over the past few weeks that Bayern may be open to the idea of trying to wrap up a transfer deal for the Spaniard, as they seek to find an immediate replacement for the departing David Alaba
However, Bayern director Oliver Kahn has confirmed the German champions won’t try and sign him as Alaba’s replacement: “We have to think about who could be an adequate replacement for David,” Kahn said.
“As a player, I’d love to have played with Ramos, but there’s nothing in [him coming to Bayern].”
A few seasons ago, Ramos would have been a world class signing for the club and one player that fans would have loved to see arrive. But now that he has gotten on a bit, they would be getting a player that is in the twilight of his career.
If we are to add a new defender to the club at the end of the season, we are hoping that is a more long-term signing, rather than one that will last one season
