Kante could miss Fa cup final after latest update, Blues open talks with united star, as Chelsea sign young duo
Chelsea have suffered a major setback ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup final. The Blues might go into the final without their star midfielder N’Golo Kante. The French midfielder also missed Chelsea’s home game against Arsenal in midweek.
After missing the game against Arsenal, Kante is now a major doubt for Chelsea’s FA Cup final clash against his former side Leicester City.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel revealed that Kante is suffering from an Achilles injury, which kept him out of the squad that faced the Gunners.
Chelsea unsure about N’Golo Kante’s availability for the FA Cup Final
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is unsure if midfielder N’Golo Kante will feature in the FA Cup final. The Achilles problem is still restricting the player, casting doubts over Kante’s involvement at Wembley.
Speaking with SI, Tuchel had the following to say on Kante’s injury after their defeat to Arsenal:
“N’Golo was left out for pain management. He has pain in the Achilles and he suffers from that. There was no chance he could play because we are without Mateo Kovacic too. Not having N’Golo on the bench is a huge blow for us in terms of intensity and attitude.”
So Kante was left out by Tuchel for #CFC v #AFC due to injury after all. Speaking to the 5th Stand app, he said: “N’Golo (was left out) for pain management. He has pain in the achilles and he suffers from that. There was no chance (he could play) because we miss Kovacic (too).”

Chelsea have entered into talks with Manchester United regarding a deal for Lauren James.

But despite claiming that Chelsea are in talks over a possible deal, the report also says The Red Devils are reluctant to part with a teenage forward that could link up with her brother Reece if a move to Stamford Bridge is made.
Roundup… Look, it would be a massive shock to see Chelsea actually complete this transfer deal in the summer as United will not want to lose James, she is a big part of the squad and a player that the club would hate to lose.
So unless a stunning offer is made, James asks the club to leave, Lauren will probably be at Old Trafford next season and will look to try and help United get that League title off the Blues.
Chelsea sign young duo Jayden Wareham and Declan Frith
According to transfer news from Mirror, Chelsea have secured the signings of Jayden Wareham and Declan Frith. The youngsters were handed deals after a trial period of two months with the club.
Wareham was with Queens Park Rangers prior to playing for Woking. An academy graduate, Wareham spent 5 years from 2014 to 2019 at the club’s academy. He was actually released from QPR before finding his feet in the non-league surroundings of Woking.
In the one season that he was with Woking, he impressed one and all with his overall performances. Even though he did not boast of great numbers that one associate with a striker, he looks to have plenty of potential. Frith, on the other hand, is a defender who plays on the left-hand side and was recently playing for Welling United.
Wareham posted a picture of him signing a new deal on Twitter.
“Another mil[e]stone in my career, so happy to have signed for @ChelseaFC, kick on now, bring on next season.”
Chelsea are always on the lookout for the best young players and Wareham and Frith’s case is no different. In recent seasons, we have seen the club giving chances to the likes of Mason Mount, Reece James and Tammy Abraham, who are from the academy. Wareham and Frith could follow a similar trajectory.
