Real Madrid president Perez makes final decision on Eden Hazard departure to Chelsea
We all know Chelsea fans are most certainly hoping so after reports in Spain on Monday claimed that the winger, who swapped west London for Real Madrid almost two years ago, wants to seal an exit from the Bernabeu, with a return to Stamford Bridge reportedly his desired choice.
Meanwhile, according to a report by Spanish publication Marca, that would not be a problem for Madrid president Florentino Perez, who would be happy to offload the Belgium international and send him packing. Hazard is under contract until the summer of 2024 in the Spanish capital, but the club faces serious financial troubles, meaning Hazard could be used to ease those financial pressures, although it is not claimed how much Madrid would demand to let go of him.
But one thing can be for sure, Madrid would not want as much as they paid to let go of him, with his price having dropped because of both his age and his recent injury history.
Hazard, who has only made 21 appearances for Madrid this season, has also been heavily praised in the past by Thomas Tuchel, potentially opening the door for Chelsea to match Hazard’s wish and try and bring him back to west London.
However, Chelsea boss has speak about the Belgium international ahead of his possible move and this seems Tuchel wants him with his latest comments on the player.
Tuchel said: “He is a top-quality player and a key player for many years at this club and this league, the hardest in the world.
“So consistent. I have the biggest respect for him. He is a big player, we have many people here who know him well.
“He was a key player for this club now he plays for Real Madrid.”
However, During Hazard his time at Chelsea, Hazard won six major honours, a tally he would love to increase if given the opportunity to return.
