N’Golo Kante’s Ballon d’Or claims, as Blues told €55m-rated dynamic midfielder is ready for summer move

Many are hunting for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante to win the Ballon d’Or and this has kept increasing.

However, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has joined to say Kante deserves to be named as the world best.

Kante was in stunning form as Chelsea won the Champions League, and produced three consecutive masterclass performances from the semi-finals to the final, which has convinced many that he’s deserving of the award.

“What I would like to say to the whole world is that the ‘NG’ we have seen in recent months has always been the same,” Pogba told Eurosport France’s FC Stream Team podcast.

“We talk a lot about his performances but he has always been as good as ever.

“There was no Cristiano and Messi in the semi-final, so it’s good to see the performances of the midfielders or even the defenders.

“I said a long time ago that it would be appropriate, if Chelsea won, for him to win the Ballon d’Or. It would be deserved, too.”

Caughtoffside always have the latest and greatest transfer rumours, and today is no different.

They’ve picked up a Fabrizio Romano whisper about Chelsea being “informed” about Saul Niguez’s situation at Atletico.

The box to box midfielder has long been linked with a move away, but a successful season with Diego Simeone this year may make it easier to persuade him to stay.

Saul’s form in the last 18 months has dropped off a little, and he’s not being linked with the same €100m+ transfers he was a couple of years ago, but he’s still a class player with plenty of running in him, and it’s easy to see him fit into a Thomas Tuchel team.

The question is who would go – we already have a wealth of talent in that position, and unless Mateo Kovacic or Jorginho go, we can’t see how it would work in terms of balancing the squad.
