Marina makes transfer decision to welcome €60m-rated La Liga top attacker

According to latest reports, Chelsea is interested in a loan deal for Antoine Griezmann. Chelsea is reportedly interested in securing the services of Antoine Griezman on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

Reports claims Chelsea could move for Griezmann as an alternative to Erling Braut Haaland, but Barcelona is only willing to send him out on loan for the 2021-22 campaign.

Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann has ‘chosen’ his next club amid renewed interest from Man Utd and Chelsea, per a report.

The Frenchman has struggled to deliver on the lofty expectations set after his blockbuster move from Atletico Madrid in 2019. His most recent campaign saw a mini resurgence with 20 goals scored across all competitions. He has been persistently linked with Man City over recent months, while the Express put Manchester United and Chelsea in the frame.

Chelsea reportedly wants to take Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann on loan for the 2021-22 season, but the Blues will have to pay 100% of his wages.

The attacker scored a solitary goal for France at Euro 2020 and finished the 2020-21 season with 20 goals and 13 assists to his name from 51 appearances in all tournaments.
And Chelsea is very much in contention to sign Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann, according to reports in the Catalan media.

Barca is desperate to reduce their wage bill and, with the French World Cup winner being one of their highest earners, it appears that his club is willing to let him leave on loan this summer.

While Griezmann has been a top performer in the past, supporters on Twitter are not convinced that the 30-year-old still has what it takes to their new number nine.

According to Spanish outlet Sport via Sport Witness, Chelsea has been the ‘most active’ side in the race to land the 30-year-old, who is currently one of the highest earners in Catalonia.

It has further been stated that several clubs have vested their interest in securing the services of the World Cup winner, including his former employers Atlético Madrid, with whom he won the La Liga title in 2014.
