‘That’s what happened after the game! Chelsea player finally reveals what happened in the dressing room following 1-1 draw against Man Utd
The Blues were massive favourites to beat Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, but the Blues could only get a 1-1 draw in that game.
Despite all the possession, attempts created and all of Chelsea’s dominance, a Jorginho mistake shortly after the break gifted Manchester United their first chance of the game, as Jadon Sancho only had to beat Edouard Mendy to finish off an easy move.
Jorginho would eventually restore parity from the spot after 20 minutes, and the game ended that way.
Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi admitted after the game that the feeling of disappointment filled the dressing room at full time, and the Chelsea players weren’t happy to have drawn the game.
“It was just the last bit in the box really,” the 21-year-old said at full time.
“We did everything else really well. Our build-up play was good, even around the box at times, but it was just the last bit that we missed and scoring that goal that we needed.
“It was disappointing not to get it but we have to recover, reflect on the game and go again on Wednesday [against Watford] to try to get the win.’
“It’s obviously important to be top but games like today where we’re on top and we feel like we dropped two points are hard,” Hudson-Odoi added.
“We feel like if we had won we could have stayed three points ahead so it’s definitely disappointing but we have the one point and at least we didn’t lose the game.”
