Fabregas fires strong warning message to new Chelsea owners after Chelsea’s Champions League exit
Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas always puts a keen eye on Chelsea games, despite having left the club four years ago.
However, The Spaniard watched his former side give Real Madrid a run for their money, as the Blues produced a stunning comeback only to crash out at the end.
Despite Chelsea’s exit, Fabregas was impressed with the team’s performance, and also hailed Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and told the club’s new owners to ensure Tuchel is tied to a new long-term contract, even if Chelsea end the season without a trophy..
Fab tweeted: “Whatever happens. Chelsea are blessed with Thomas Tuchel. What a manager.”
Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admitted that he was proud of his team’s effort, although disappointed with the outcome of the game.
“We are very disappointed and very proud at the same time,” said the Blues boss.
“We played a fantastic match. We deserved what we had. We scored four goals, we had big chances to score more.”
