‘Sell Timo Werner and get him, he’s a world class player’ – Chelsea fans reacted after Journalist reveals Tuchel wants 64M Rated Bundesliga star
According to Sky Sports Germany writer Florian Plettenberg, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is “quite interested” in RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku.
According to the writer, the Blues may have competition from Manchester United if they want to sign the France international this summer.
Although Chelsea’s record of buying players from Germany isn’t very impressive, Nkunku has already established his worth on the European scene.
Nkunku has shown that he can play at the highest level with seven goals and two assists in six Champions League matches, as well as four goals in RB Leipzig’s Europa League campaign.
Leipzig, on the other hand, is apparently holding out for roughly €75 million (£64 million), while Manchester City and Liverpool are also reportedly interested in signing Nkunku, so it’s unclear where the Frenchman will end up.
Fans’ reactions on Twitter have been divided. While some believe Nkunku would be a great addition, others are apprehensive about bringing in another Bundesliga player:
Below are the Blues reaction on the star.
(@JE00001): Nkunku x Havertz x Mount we’re winning it all
@Kemisanwo: Return Werner and get him
@stunnathegoatg1: Yup, the cycle begins. it’s another summer where we’re going to completely ignore the midfield again just like last season and spend crazy money on an attacker who would then come in and struggle because of the midfield
@achrafNR06: Nkunku is a world class finisher perfect for tuchel behind the striker
@Akinaija: I Don’t Trust The League He’s Coming From ❗️
@Jay13Silva: This is the profile we should be going for!
@blacklivrs: POTM for like 4 months in the Bundesliga ahead of the likes of Lewa and Haaland what could go wrong
@CarefreeScotCFC: I worry bout signing players from bundesliga but his numbers are great.
@KentrellJBryant: sign this man he is world class
