Boehly and Tuchel given green light to try and get Chelsea deal done after £200,000-a-week decision made

According to latest reports, Declan Rice, a long-term Chelsea target, is expected to reject West Ham’s latest bid.

Rice has been in the news a lot over the last few months because there has been a lot of discussion regarding whether or not he will leave the Hammers to join a large club.

As a result, reports in the media have suggested that both Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in signing the midfielder, despite the fact that he would cost well over £100 million in the summer window.

Rice has apparently been given a ten year contract earning close to £200,000 per week by West Ham, who do not want to lose their biggest star.

West Ham, on the other hand, do not want to lose their best player and have reportedly offered Rice a ten year contract for close to £200,000 per week, making him the club’s highest paid player.

But it seems that his decision is already made and it seems that he wants to leave the club – if you believe what SunSports Duncan Wright has claimed: “The 23-year-old is one of the hottest properties in European football and admits he may have to quit the London Stadium to play the top-level football he craves.

“And though The Hammers have now come up with four improved offers in an attempt to tie him down the midfielder is standing firm by rejecting every approach.

“Central to his thinking is not wanting to box himself into a similar position to England teammate Harry Kane, who saw his dream move to Manchester City blocked because Tottenham had him locked into a long-term deal”

Rice is one of those special talents that has developed nicely and is now ready to make that next step in his career to join a side that is playing at the top of the game – that is playing Champions League football and that is challenging for trophies
