Pulisic finally speaks out on his future after meeting new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly

According to latest reports, Chelsea forward, Christian Pulisic, has refused to confirm he will remain at Stamford Bridge but says he is ‘excited’ moving forward after meeting the club’s new owner, Todd Boehly.

Pulisic, 23, has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea after slipping down Thomas Tuchel’s pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

The United States international started just 13 of Chelsea’s 38 Premier League games last season and has attracted interest from Juventus.

Pulisic has netted 25 goals in 115 appearances for Chelsea since completing a £58m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.

The player has won the Champions League, Club World Cup and Super Cup with Chelsea but is struggling to cement a place in the starting line-up.

Asked if he sees his future at Chelsea, Pulisic, who is currently on international duty, said at his pre-match press conference ahead of United States’ friendly against Morocco on Wednesday: “As far as right now, I am obviously just focused on what I am doing here. And I’m super excited to be here. And yeah, that is it.

“Of course, I want to get more playing time. I want to be on the field as much as I can and be the sharpest I can be and fit as well.

“I think I still got a lot of games, but it is always something that I am working at and trying to be regular at club level as well to put myself in the best position to be fit when I come here with the national team.”

“At the end of the season, we were able to meet with them [Chelsea’s new owner] and they were around the club a lot,” he added.

“They’re really good people, so I’m excited moving forward.”
