The blues had turn there decision to sign Cavani after dealing with Higuain swap with Morata.
Chelsea are set to launch an ambitious £50m bid for PSG striker Edinson Cavani.
This is according to the claims in the Sunday edition of the British newspaper Daily Express, that are known for their habit of launching the far-fetched rumors.
However this time, the reputable outlet BBC reprinted the story as well in their ‘transfer gossip’ column.
31-year-old Cavani has scored 324 goals in 519 appearances in his career and is presented by the paper as ‘the right man to get Chelsea firing in goals again.’
The Uruguayan joined PSG from Napoli in 2013 for the fee of €64,5m and was the most expensive player in the French Ligue 1 at the time. Maurizio Sarri has joined the Partenopei in 2015, so the two never got to work together.
The current Cavani’s deal with the Parisien side expires in 2020, so the club could look to offload the striker in the nearest future if they are unwilling or unable to sign a new deal.
