“Medicals next week” – Another Chelsea star set to complete outgoing deal
Chelsea’s efforts in the transfer market so far this window has been unsurprisingly a touch laborious.
Given the amount of work that has to be done and the fact that the new owners were just formally confirmed three weeks ago, it is only reasonable that there hasn’t been any activity in the market thus far.
The key sign that this is about to happen for Chelsea is the official confirmation of a significant departing for this summer. However, Chelsea does need to start pushing things along right away.
According to Fabrizio Romano last night, Romelu Lukaku will complete his medical and return to Inter Milan the following week.
Thomas Tuchel is likely to target one or two new forwards this window, and this will likely be the beginning of a succession of fresh moves, particularly in attack.
However, Todd Boehly and his team still have a lot of work to do because additional reinforcements are anticipated as well as player departures.
Chelsea and Inter have all paperworks now ready to be signed in order to announce Romelu Lukaku deal next week. Belgian striker will also fly to Italy next week to undergo medicals and sign the contract. 🔵🤝 #CFC
