Todd Boehly shows interest in £150m N’Golo Kante replacement as club makes final decision on star

Declan Rice has long been a goal for Chelsea, and according to reports, the club’s interest in the 23-year-old midfielder has been maintained by new owner Todd Boehly.

Under Frank Lampard, the Everton manager’s tenure at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea began to show interest in the midfielder. When Thomas Tuchel became the club’s manager, the Chelsea interest waned.

Declan Rice, a Chelsea starlet till the age of 14, suddenly seems to have Chelsea’s attention once more.

The Mirror reports that the Blues have increased their interest in Rice recently, with Thomas Tuchel reportedly showing a lot of interest in the midfielder for the Hammers.

Thomas Tuchel is thought to have identified Rice as a long-term replacement for N’Golo Kante, who has struggled with injuries over the last two seasons, since Todd Boehly is eager to support him in the transfer market.

According to reports, West Ham has reportedly rejected Chelsea’s latest effort to sign Declan Rice and is sure that the English international won’t be traded this summer.

During West Ham’s standout season under David Moyes, Rice had his best season to date and was named Player of the Year.

In the Premier League, Rice is highly regarded and valued at approximately £100 million. Teams like Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool are rumored to be interested in signing him.

David Moyes went on to say that Rice is worth more than the alleged £100 million during the course of the season.

Asked whether Rice is worth more than £100m, Moyes, after a long pause, replied: “Yeah.

I think I’ve said everything there is to say about Declan. He’s a really important player for West Ham, he’s someone who we value greatly and you can see what he means to the team.

“He’s a really good individual and we’re enjoying having him.”
